Holiday in :)
As we put the joyous memories of the holiday behind us, we at the same time took notice of how quickly time seemed to fly. Just a few days ago it seemed we were just in our last class before the break planning to see a movie, canceling classes, and busily getting excited. Just a few days ago it seemed Me and my family were just prepping for our overseas trip in Hong Kong for four days. Just a few days ago I was in Hong Kong, breathing in the slightly polluted air and bathed in the city lights. Just a few days ago I just got home from my trip and watched videos for the whole day. Just a few days ago it seemed, me and my friends met up to do science fair which took a total of three days of busy experience. We met our two new hamsters- Bianca and Zach( I did not come up with their names) and wearied them to the death. It seemed as if a lot happened just a few days ago, yet at the same time, the past seemed oh so far away.

Early
I know this may have been a weird saying, but I am going to bed rather early today! It is only 11:46 and I am already in my pajamas and am ready to pass out. This whole week has been painstaking as day after day I studied for exam after exam. I spent tons of time studying for english exam, by the way, and I might not even get a good grade for it. Oh well. Tomorrow I'll finish my last final- Geometry than I'll be free! Free and happy and carefree( ok, I'm being repetitive, but so what?) I planned to watch a movie online that I recently discovered today and dig into a TV show that I had wanted to watch for a while now. I also plan on watching the ABC family show Switch at Birth and the other show Glee. But before that, I've got to do well on my geometry exam. I've studied tonight and that should help me a lot. On that Cheerful note I will end tonight's journal entry. Good night to you all.

Something to look forward to
Most people would probably agree that the start is always the hardest. Normally, I would have agreed with them. Today, however is an exception. I had anticipated the history and spanish final to be a long, tedious process one cannot bear to endure but I was wrong. Well, not entirely anyway. I actually finish the history final 10 minutes before the ending time whereas normally, I would be finishing seconds before the final bell. I actually got to enjoy myself a bit during the test as I take occasional breaks. I guess. The spanish final is similar. I wrote the half of a test than took a five minute break than finished the rest and did the same. While checking, I actually got to rest three times, once every four sections. I know this sounds crazy and just a plain waste of time, but this to me, at least symbolizes the fact that I am not on a train headed for complete self-destruction. Which leads me to something to look forward to- Friday after first period when my last final will be resolved! Gosh I 'm going to have soooo much fun! I'm going to watch videos I had to restrain myself during normal weeks and just be a spoiled brat( or an even more spoiled brat). Wow, I've actually wrote quite a lot compared to my normal amount just be celebrating the fact that I am 2 finals down and 4 to go. I'm completely amazed.

Hope
I hope this blog post still counts since I had to wake up early in the morning and sacrifice my valuable sleep time to do it. Anyway, here's a brief recap of what happened yesterday. I caught a small cold yesterday somehow somewhere and ended up with a sore throat and runny nose. Painful? Yes, I guess. Maybe I caught it when playing basketball? Or on my way home? I really have no idea. I also found out yesterday that I am going to have six finals next week...definitely not a piece of news you'd wish to hear. I'll have a history exam, an english exam, a spanish exam, an expository writing exam, a biology exam and a geometry exam. Wow. THat's a lot to handle don't you think? Now my only hope is more Mr. Dahl to give us less questions on the test.

Hm...
As stated many times before, nothing really happened today. There is, however, one piece of good news and that is that we won't have a math final! We'll just have a chapter test! YEAH!!!I almost leapt up with joy when the teacher announced that piece of news today! Hmm...now I'm just trying to see how long I could rattle on without pausing for even one second. This reminds me of a girl named Jean Huang I saw on Facebook. Her friends were advocating her new music video to enter a cover contest of a singer called Clara something. She is actually really good and I think that I may have seen her on HSINMUN just a few months ago. SHe said she was from the regular high school department of NESH, but in the video, she appeared to be from the bilingual department. Weird.

A pleasant reading experience
Today I had a fairly pleasant studying experiencing. First of all, I actually " enjoyed" myself while writing my MUN response to a nigerian protest about oil prices. Now, the definition for " enjoyed" may vary and here, I'm leaving it up to you to decide. Anyway, after doing that, I actually also had had " fun" doing Geometry. I enjoyed doing it a lot more than I used to. By the way, I was relieved my geometry test score wasn't way too bad. I also had " fun" reading my biology textbook, which would be a very rare sight indeed. Right now I am listening to an original song called " Liar liar" by an extremely talented youtube artist Christina Grimmie. I will give a background information about her on my next blog entry. For the folks who don't know much about her, go on and check her out. She's awesome! She has a soulful and meaningful voice and her original song was just awesome. The piano background was beautiful. It made my journal typing entry " even" more pleasurable than it normally is.

More music
I ran out of things to write today so I decide to talk about music again. There will always be plenty of music out there, and I thought I'd never run out of things to say. I thought wrong. I did. RIght at this very moment when my fingers flew over the keyboard ready to announce my opinion on the next single by a particular artist, I discovered with a shredder than I have absolutely nothing in mind. Seemed like I don't have anything in mind these days. Between my intense schedule, homework and school filled up all the extra time I have. Maybe it isn't such a bad idea to stay awake at times and think some thoughts after all.

Tik Tok
" Could you speed up a little ? Not getting any younger here" is an old time favorite quote from truck stop diners on the american highways. The originators of this quote, the fierce waitresses, have a well-known for their rough, dry humor. This quote today, especially gave me a good hearty laugh since it seemed to have depicted my situation exactly. Old " wisdom" like these never fail to amaze me. Seemed to me that history is just repeating itself all over again. There is, however, one defining difference between my situation and the waitresses'- the person or thing we are talking to. The waitresses hoped for the truck drivers to speed up and order already while I hope time will speed up so I can get past Friday as quick as possible.

Random songs
I was having a little fun listening to some original songs of people on youtube. After a few songs, I was amazed at how people dream big. Most self-composed songs have a similar rhythm, a similar melody, and identical themes. Many are very classic " taylor swift" style even though it is clearly not the kind of mood they were aiming for. Of course, I'm not the one to say since I couldn't have done half as good as they did myself. My point is ,even though people understood the road to the music industry is a hard and complicated one, yet they chose to follow it and honor their passion. They may start out a little rocky, but with enough passion and just a little hint of talent, I'm sure they will do just fine. Go youtube artists out there! Don't ever forget living your dreams!

Random Poems
Here are some poems I wrote or heard of a long time ago. Some of it might not make sense, just read if you will.
A call from the mountains:
A call from the mountains
is a call from nature
compelling me,
with her vigorous presence,
her broad shoulders,
her sky of heaven,
her fluttering leaves,
her solid branches,
her faint smell of freedom,
the world.
A call from the mountains
is a call from God.
And so I prayed,
wistfully.
Dodging eyes:
I stared into the distance,
far far away.
For we are engaged in a fight,
so we are,
dodging eyes.
Friendship is like honey,
and I still have that,
It's just that moment
When I.
Wanted so much to say something,
And nothing came out.
And we were dodging eyes,
like,
Strangers.
A call from the mountains:
A call from the mountains
is a call from nature
compelling me,
with her vigorous presence,
her broad shoulders,
her sky of heaven,
her fluttering leaves,
her solid branches,
